Open House Lagos

Open House Lagos is a weekend event to showcase the outstanding architecture of Lagos for all to experience, completely for free. The event invites everyone to understand the value of a well-designed built environment by exploring Lagos, celebrating its architectural growth and the way people interact with their environment. The concept explores Lagos’s architectural history and encourages people to think about their environment by seeing the old, the new and what the City can be.

First started in London 25 years ago and now in over 35 cities around the world, the success of the Open House Weekend is due to its approach of offering diverse, direct design experiences, free-of-charge, in a non-elitist manner. It annually reaches 750,000 people worldwide—the largest audience of any public-facing architecture program.
