Mastering the Art and Science of Lettering; A Typography Design Training with Yemi Fetch

For Graphic designers, UI designers, and lettering aesthetes, this workshop aims to demystify the secrets of Type. It is a session that will break down the function and appropriate usage of lettering. It will also feature an insight into how to create unique lettering styles and how to deploy them effectively.

Facilitator
A passionate, self-motivated lettering artist Yemi’s role entails crafting captivating custom typography that resonates with the target audience. He is particularly interested in how a change of lettering style evokes emotions, influences behaviors, shapes perception and gives more meaning to a design. Presently, Yemi Fetch performs these functions and more as the Creative Director of Freak Creative- a design agency based in Lagos.

Yemi Fetch is the convener of My Type Series– a biannual lettering workshop where he introduces young designers to the art and science of lettering. He also facilitates the Break-away designer’s class at Orange Academy, Lagos
